Getting Around the ABC Islands


Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao all have
similar options for travel though
there are some differences.
Consider renting a 4-wheel drive
vehicle if you want to explore some
of the more remote parts of the
islands. Aruba has the most
transportation options.

  •  Rental cars are available and 
     a valid driver’s license is
     required

  •  Most rental agencies have an
     age restriction, but it varies
     between agencies

  •  Driving is on the RIGHT

  •  Major roads are in good
     condition, but many sights 
     are in remote areas where 
     conditions can be difficult

  •  Taxi rates are fixed but go 
     up in the evening.  Some 
     taxis are marked with the
     TX symbol

  •  Sightseeing tours can be
     arranged through most hotels

  •  On inland island trips, carry
     food and water as facilities
     are not always available
